We have the IBM Network Advisor SAN Enterprise edition installed in our datacenter. To monitor the SAN infrastructure we are using IBM spectrum control. Now to include switch/fabric monitoring traffic to spectrum we need SMI agent configured on network advisor.
I am not finding reliable documentation on how to configure SMI agent on an existing deployment. Since this is a enterprise edition I would imagine we have the feature available but not configured. I am looking for some assistance to configure SMI agent without any discruption to production SAN. I am ataching the screen from Network advisor that shows SMI agent option is disabled.
Need assistane to configure SMI agent to pull switch data quickly.
I assuming you have Install the BNA without SMI, for this reason SMI is no start.
let me know if the problem persist, I'll try in my test environments and tell you all the step to enable SMI into you productive environments.

can you point me to Spectrum Release Notes or Config Guide, so I can check the requirements ?
I am including few links below for you to get familair with the product and also to know about the SMI agent. The SMI agent in IBM network advisor(same as Brocade Network Advisor) need to be enabled for Spectrum control to probe SAN Fabric/Switch data.
