What happened to the command "switchstatusshow" in FOS 7.4?

  • 1.  What happened to the command "switchstatusshow" in FOS 7.4?

    Posted 03-08-2016 02:18 AM

There was a FOS convenient command called "switchstatusshow" until FOS v7.2.1c1.

We just migrate some of our Brocade switches version 7.4 and I do not see this command anymore.

    Where did it go?

switchstatusshow and switchstatuspolicyshow, was a command available in FabricWatch Features.

Since FW is by FOS 7.4 no longer supported/available anymore, the command was decrapted.

    Thank you for your reply.

Is there a FOS 7.4 equivalent command to "switchstatusshow", which was so handy?

Fabric Watch is no longer available in 7.4. You can use the MAPS feature instead of FabricWatch.

There is no similar maps command but MAPS is the replacement for FabricWatch

    Hi

For my daily heatl checking I use this command . It is very useful, for this new firmware version is there a way to get the same information? It is important for me

    Thanks

    mapsdb --show all

Will report on switch status on any FOS based switch regardless of MAPS license state. Note double dash before 'show'.

    Best of luck

mapsdb --show all is a licensed feature. so it does not replace switchstatusshow. it seems obviouse why they got rid of switchstatusshow.  :robotsad:
