Lost all passwords for DCX 8510-8. Please help

    Hi Experts, 
    I have lost all passwords(looks some one changed standard passwords) for brocade DCX 8510-8 switch. OS 7.1.1 mode.

    Can you please help me to reset admin password. Currently heldup for not doing anything on this swtich. Its just one switch on the fabric. 

    Alternnate fabric switch is working good. Please suggest.

    @MohanB

     

    you should open a TAC to obtain the password recovery procedure.

     

    take in mind, a reboot is mandatory required in order to recovery the password, so you should planned carefully a maintenance window.

     

    there is no other way to do that without a reboot, unless a root password is know.

    even root password is not allowed.
    will get support case open.
    cannot we reset password without reboot switch?

    No, ther eis no way to reset without a reboot.

    One Quick last question: Switch contract expired. Can you share me the procedure to reset password. I think i can reset it. But not gettting the right procedure for DCX 8510 v 7.1.1. Can you please share me the right knowledge base article?
