    Hi All,

I am receving the alert "A coldStart trap signifies that the SNMPv2entity, acting in an agent role, is reinitializingitself such that its configuration may bealtered" very frequently. I did not see any issue with the switch.

Please let us know how to fix this.

    Hi,

According to brocade documentation, that message is related to the following:

    coldStart 1.3.6.1.6.3.1.1.5.1
A coldStart trap signifies that the sending protocol entity is reinitializing itself such that the agent's configuration or the protocol entity implementation may be altered.

This trap is generated for the following switch events:
    • reboot
    • fastboot

Please, post here the output of command "errdump -a" in order to see if there's any useful info there.

    rgds,

    Felipon

I have provided a line of errdump -a output below and same time one of the port went to offline (out of fabriclog -s).

Is it cause to trigger the coldstart trap error?

might be, disable that port for a while to see if the condstart event reoccurs.
