I am trying to establish a new link between 6510 Switches. Both of them are using identical 16G SR SFPs (HP QK724A). One is running FOS 7.4.1b and the other FOS 7.4.2c and both show the port in question as an Online D-Port. However,

It stays in this state, manual prodding with portdporttest --start doesn't help either. How do I run the D-Port test?
Did you try portdisable/portenable on one side or on both sides?
i had a customer with a similarly issue, here try the customer to start d_port test in a ISL / Trunk, and the test return Failed.
1) is in you case a ISL/Trunk ?
2) are the Port on both site correct configured ?
3) what type of cable is in use OM3 or OM4 ?
4) did you try to run the command as admin or as root ?
can you please change the speed level a fixed on both side ?
you should do that with port disable, however I don't know if this is productive
sdiff shows some differences, not sure, but maybe there's something important that should match?
