on on of my ds5300 I have:
DS_5300B_GORNJI:admin> switchstatusshowSwitch Health Report Report time: 03/26/2014 02:03:27 PMSwitch Name: DS_5300B_GORNJIIP address: 10.221.240.141SwitchState: DOWNDuration: 17644:48Power supplies monitor HEALTHYTemperatures monitor HEALTHYFans monitor HEALTHYFlash monitor HEALTHYMarginal ports monitor HEALTHYFaulty ports monitor DOWNMissing SFPs monitor HEALTHYFabric Watch is not licensedDetailed port information is not included
How can I see cause for this, which port is in count?
with switchstatusset, you can verify the necessary number of faulty ports to change the switch status to DOWN.
In order to check the "faulty" ports you can run command fwportdetailshow.
I don't have this command:
DS_5300B_GORNJI:admin> switchstatussetrbash: switchstatusset: command not found
And don't have Fabric Watch licensed.
Is there any other way to see what put switch state to down?
sorry I ment switchstatuspolicyshow and switchstatuspolicyset
with switchshow you may see ir any port is faulted.
with switchshow I see :
46 46 012e00 id N8 Mod_Inv FC "Speed Mismatch / Incompatible Vendor"
policy is set like this:
DS_5300B_GORNJI:admin> switchstatuspolicyshowThe current overall switch status policy parameters: Down Marginal ---------------------------------- PowerSupplies 1 1 Temperatures 2 1 Fans 2 1 Flash 0 1 MarginalPorts 20 8 FaultyPorts 1 0 MissingSFPs 0 0
How can I be sure that port 46 is guilty fro DOWN status
According to the policy configured, with only one faulted port the status fo the swith will become DOWN.
Remove the SFP in port 46 and the status should disappear. Additioanaly, you ought to modify the policy so that a single faulty port doesn't make the status of the switch change to DOWN.
