FabOS Upgrade from 7.0.1 to 7.2

I have over one hundred servers in a data center that have firmware on Emulex HBA's at various levels.  If all my blade center switches are running at 6.4.2b and 6.4.2b is supported by 7.2.x on the DCX Director, do I need to worry about the firmware levels on the blade servers?

    Kycastaway,

I have had trouble with Emulex HBAs after upgrading from FOS v7.0.2c to v7.1.1c with older 4Gb/s HBAs in HP Servers. With Windows as OS they didn't see there boot disks anymore. Solution was a BIOS Update to 2.82.

    Hi,

FOS 6.4.2b is OK and you shouldn't have any problems when upgrading the DCX to 7.2.x

Nevertheless, you can check it out in the Release notes of the destination FOS versions under "Supported Products and FOS Interoperability"
