BNA = 12.1.1
H/W = 2 Brocade DCX's
FOS = 7.1.1c
Fabric Config = 2 Fabrics, All hosts and storage connected to DCX's.
IBM SVC = 6 node CF8's, V22.214.171.124
In BNA events, 1 of the SVC node ports has an online event that occurred 2x. There are no offline events. Port errors were cleared after 1st event. After 2nd online event, checked port errors and there were a total of 7; 2 encd errs inside frame, 4 encd errs outside frame, and 1 long frame. AIX hosts are getting messages relating to failed paths, I believe. The port's SFP power appears to be good on Rx and Tx. My question is do the encd errs or long frame error indicate a specific type of problem? Meaning, is the H/W going bad?

See my blog for more details. I've written numerous articles on this.
I was able to find some information, but still searching. It appears from your blogs that enc errors are hardware related.
In my case, not sure if a few enc errors would indicate a hardware problem since these errors have not increased for over a month now. I am still unsure what may have caused these errors.
