I try to install Brocade 6520 switch for DR, so we use DWDM.
Brocade 6520 do not support 1G, so I requested to my customer to change DWDM.
The network engineer asked me that, could Brocade 6510 communicate with FC-200 protocol?
Please check for me.
Hi, should be.
FC200 = 2G
and from 6510 info page: "the Brocade 6510 is configurable in 24, 36, or 48 ports and supports 2, 4, 8, 10, or 16 Gbps "
Thank you for your reply.
I will discuss about this case with network engineer.
when you want to run 2G on B6520 you have to use 8G SFP. 16G SFP only supports 4/8/16G while 8G SFP supports 2/4/8G.
Additionally, if you plan to use Trunking, ask the DWDM operator if the interface card is TDM multiplexing. If so, you will have to disable trunking or monitor the deskew with trunkshow and make sure if the numbers are no so far each other
