    Hi,

The following event reports a failure in the ASIC 1 of Port Blade in slot 2:

    2013/12/25-17:46:18, [C2-1004], 2006, SLOT 7 | CHASSIS, ERROR, Brocade_DCX, S2,C1: Invalid DMA ch pointer, chan:1, good_addr:0x0 bad_addr:0x0

Due to this event, the switch marked the port blade as faulty:

    2013/12/25-17:46:18, [EM-1034], 2007, SLOT 7 | CHASSIS, ERROR, Brocade_DCX, Slot 2 set to faulty, rc=20015.

The switch went to DOWN status (this status does not imply that the switch is not working)  because the "switch status policy" is configured to report the switch as down when errors like the one experienced by the switch occurs.

You can check the switch status policy of a switch with command "switchstatuspolicyshow" and you can modify it with "switchstatuspolicyset"

    Kind regards,

    Felipon

In addition to this it is most likely related to a FOS code defect. The DMA access pointer has been incorrectly set. What FOS level is this box running?
