SNMP OID for getting licensed ports

  • 1.  SNMP OID for getting licensed ports

    Hi

I need to calculate the number of licensed ports across our Brocade Switches.  I have SNMP available to ALL Switches, but struggling to find the correct OID's to use to work out if a port is licensed (or not licensed).

Would anyone which OID, or OID's I would need to look at to see if a port is licensed.

    Thanks

    Hi Simon,

you need to check the swFCPortDisableReason (added in 7.2.x) in the sub-tree for Fibre Channel port group swFCPort (SW-MIB) starting at  1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6:

    swFCPortDisableReason

    1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6.2.1.40

possible value of interest (search for license in SW-MIB) file

         r-fcr-license                      (53),             -- fcr not licensed

         r-noenclicense                     (89),             -- n-port's configured fi-port not licensed (enc1&2)

         r-no-license                       (128),            -- no license

         r-no-icl-license                   (209),            -- no icl license

         r-no-ten-gig-license               (210),            -- no ten gig license

r-no-icl-pod2-license              (224),            -- no 2nd pod icl license. used only in dcx+/pluto+ switch

check the SW-MIb file, I have attached a copy to this post.
