Today, we are pleased to announce that Top Secret for z/OS Version 17.0.00 (17.0) is now available.
While Broadcom is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers, in accordance with the Broadcom Maintenance Policy Handbook, we are discontinuing technical support for Top Secret for z/OS Version 16.0 effective March 16, 2028. This will allow our development organization to more effectively focus its resources and add value to the next release of Top Secret for z/OS. After March 16, 2028, Broadcom will continue to make self-service support available until the end of your current maintenance term for Top Secret for z/OS Version 16.0.
We encourage you to plan for the migration to Top Secret for z/OS Version 17.0 as soon as possible, so you can take full advantage of the features and enhancements this release has to offer. For information on Top Secret for z/OS, please visit the Top Secret Support Portal page.

As Broadcom would like to make your upgrade to Top Secret for z/OS Version 17.0 as straightforward as possible, we are offering the following:
- The latest supported Version of Top Secret for z/OS can be downloaded at no charge online within the Support Portal, where you can also utilize the case management system, as long as you have an active maintenance contract for Top Secret for z/OS.
- Documentation to help you prepare for your upgrade to Version 17.0 can be viewed here. If you have any questions or require assistance, contact Support.
- Accelerated time-to-value when you engage Broadcom Mainframe Services to assist you with any or all parts of your upgrade. Additional information can be found at the Services site. Please contact your account representative to receive a quote for such services.
