In many posts migrated from the CA Communities, code blocks were migrated in a way that prevents them from being displayed correctly.

Some examples can be found in the discussion Identifying hung AE server processes, such as this reply.

The code block is not displayed correctly. Line feeds are not interpreted correctly.

Here's what it looks like in the editor:

Note also that extraneous ornamental quotation mark characters are inserted into block quotations. These characters are part ofHigher Logic's CSS style sheet for block quotations. They are not part of the quotations. These extra characters negatively impact the appearance of these quoted sections, because in this case the quoted text comprises command examples.

@Michael A. Lowry --  Agreed - migrations are tough on code blocks.  In this instance coming from a highly customizable JIVE instance which allowed code to be identified and color coated to the Higher Logic which technically uses the same edited TinyMCE but is not configurable.     There are pros and cons.  JIVE had so many versions on-prem to SaaS that it was difficult for them to manage where Higher Logic is pure SaaS with one consistent version being upgraded in the background with no versioning issues.   That being said we have requested they enhance their TinyMCE version to include the ability to identify code and color code in the same way JIVE did back in the day.     This has not been picked up for the Higher Logic product team as of today but many of our suggested enhancements have been.   Thx ~jm

Here's hoping that someday Higher Logic's one consistent version will be more usable.
