Clarity Service Management

ServiceDeskUsers.com now history

By Lindsay_Estabrooks posted 12-03-2015 06:08 PM

After many years of great service to the CA Service Desk user community, the ServiceDeskUsers.com site has been shuttered. The site had come under attack by hacker(s) who infected the server with malware. This triggered an isolation of the server by the hosting company. The main principal behind the site, Gregg Smith, said that with the ascendancy of the CA Communities site coupled with the time and cost to maintain SDU, it was time to let the site fade into history.

Good News!

Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, ServiceDeskUsers.com has been resurrected by the talent and hard work of Gregg Smith.

Many thanks to Gregg.

I forgot about the web archive, if anyone needs to access some of the customization listed on SDU they can be accessed here..

I offered help to Gregg about hosting but he didn't give me a response yet.

I think, at least it should be alive in read-only mode so we can see the old topic, spl codes, customizations etc.

I had several link of SDU on my favorites bar.

I noticed it was unavailable this week too, I'm hoping that someone can post the spl customizations to this community that were displayed on sdu.

Awww... I used that site a lot before this new CA communities site was launched, and got tons of great help from the members there.  It's a shame, but I do understand why they made that decision.
