CA has a history of making Agile work for mainframe both in-house and with our customers and partners. In the first of a three-part series, the general manager of our Mainframe Business Unit, Ashok Reddy, explores how Agile with mainframe can help your business deliver better agility via enterprise apps for the next computing era and beyond.

industry4.jpg"We are on the brink of the next major industrial revolution: At this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos, CA CEO Mike Gregoire and other executives discussed the imminent, “The Fourth Industrial Revolution” or “Industry 4.0”.

We are seeing the rapid evolution of technologies that blur the lines between the physical, digital and biological realms – think drones, 3D printing and artificial intelligence. Underpinning these technologies are application programming interfaces (APIs) that will drive change at an unprecedented level to every single industry, from financial services to hospitality to transportation.

This rapid pace of change demands new ways of thinking about software development, which is why Agile software delivery has gained ground over the more traditional Waterfall method. But we’re not just catching onto a buzzword – we’re living and breathing it."
