For the past few General Availability (GA’s), this blog series has been highlighting the value of the latest CA PPM features. The latest release is now available, and its powerful enhancements are designed to improve your ability to deliver on outcomes crucial to your organization. A high-level recap of recent and new usability focused capabilities is below, but make sure to follow up with CA for customized demos and insights specific to your unique environment.

CA PPM 15.4 is built closer to how customers work than any alternative available today, and easily adapts as work evolves or progresses - all the power needed to move from static planning to continuous planning. A key feature is Roadmapping, which is a game changer as it supports top-down strategy planning while maintaining bottom-up run and operate. Complex and complicated management solutions just don’t work when companies are being challenged and disrupted every quarter, and must be nimble enough to proactively pivot. Other hot topics included in the new UX are Financial Forecasts, Budgets, Benefits, Actuals, Metrics and Reporting as well as classification of projects and resources.

This upgrade brings to mind a previous post regarding SaaS: PPM Insights: Surviving-to-Thriving, Reasons Solution Leaders are Selecting SaaS. This solution has become very popular within the CA PPM ecosystem as customers are able to:

  • Get Started Quickly
  • Lower Costs
  • Always being on the Latest Version
  • Experience a Higher Adoption Rate
  • Stronger Security

Another tool for customers is CA Services as a key differentiator providing the wholistic approach to not only software implementation, but true value realization. CA Services follows a methodology that focuses on helping PPM Practitioners achieve desired business outcomes by aligning project goals to the delivery of greatest value and priority; and helping to accelerate success through:

  • Organizational enablement: Enabling users and accelerating solution adoption to speed value realization
  • Technology services: Implementing a flexible solution that delivers incremental value which will grow and adapt to evolving business needs
  • Success management: Assisting in the development and execution of a clear plan for long-term success

CA Services applies this approach to all delivery - helping you implement a new product, expand a solution’s value and upgrade to a new version as well as providing ongoing maintenance support. They are here with a plan for your long-term success, ensuring your organization is enabled for fast adoption and your technology is delivering the desired value.

When staying up to date with CA PPM releases - valuable features (which SaaS delivers on-demand), and leveraging the leading practices of CA Services, PPM Practitioners can deliver a cutting-edge solution at any maturity level and desired investment.

As PPM Practitioners, these adoption focused enhancements to the UX increases our ability to “take the work out of work” for our customer by following the people centric design approach developed throughout the CA PPM 15.x versions.
