Ideation Stage Definition Review

By libli02 posted 06-10-2016 10:10 AM

CA Security Community Members –

I wanted to take the time to clarify what each ideation stage means here in the community. There appears to be some confusion and potential miscommunication, so let’s set the record straight!

Ideation Stage definitions were communicated in The Water Cooler back in August 2014. Here’s a link to the original post: https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231149845

You may refer to the table below for descriptions of each ideation stage.

Please note that if an idea is in the “Currently Planned” stage, this does not guarantee that it will be delivered in an upcoming release. “Currently Planned” means that it is included in the backlog and roadmap for a future release, but something may prevent it from being delivered. Our Product Managers will communicate via the comment thread below the idea on projected delivery dates if it is known and guaranteed.

You might notice some ideas out there with a high quantity of votes that are in the “Wish-listed” stage. We are in the process of converting those ideas to the “Under Review” or “Currently Planned” or "Not Planned" stage depending on the status of the idea. We hear you and we are working on improving our process internally.

If you have any questions about the Community Ideation Process, please comment below. We greatly appreciate your submissions, votes and feedback. Your participation will continue to help shape the future of CA Security products!

Sincerely,

Lina Liberti,

VP, Security Business Unit

THANK YOU

Hi Josh,

Kristen is correct and we will be reviewing and updating the SSO ideas in the wish-list state over the next couple weeks to align with the above guidelines. A number of ideas will move back to 'under review' as you might expect. We heard your feedback and you will see adjustments soon.

thanks,

Rob

Agreed and that was mentioned in the post above. RobLindberg and mehhe02 are working on it.

if this post is  in relation to https://communities.ca.com/ideas/235728964#comment-233939354

then you should be aware that n SSO the labels are not being used like that.

if they were, the top vote geters wouldnt be wish listed while others get in.

ie: IWA Login with Forms Fallback

this was the top vote getter when i made the first link. still top votes. still only "wish listed"

while this only had 4 and got in: Webagent Support for NGINX web server

this is  why i made the note to have those states updated, improved,, and noted.

right now they are clearly not used as intended

Each product manager reviews the ‘Ideas’ that come in and balance the number of votes based on the number of participants in the community. Your ideas are being looked at by the PAM product management team, once the rest of the community has an opportunity to ‘vote’ the product team will categorize the request appropriately. Thank you for your question.

That's something the product managers will need to determine. I will share you feedback with dulmi01 and libli02.

How many votes are required minimum to convert and Idea to "Wish-List"?, I am asking this because I feel there are not enough "CA PAM Product" community members on this community who can give voting for an idea so that it can be considered.

I have a long list of ideas on community but haven seen any status changed since publish dates.
