The CASM team would like to draw your attention to important considerations before upgrading to 17.4 RU5 which is planned for release by the end of October 2025.
Axis Removal
Axis deprecation was announced with 17.4, with planned support discontinuation as of June 30, 2025 (CA Service Management 17.4 Release Notes - What’s Deprecated section).
Effective 17.4 RU5, Axis will be entirely removed.
It is recommended that existing integrations be migrated to CXF web services prior to applying 17.4 RU5.
Any integrations currently utilizing Axis web services will cease to function post-upgrade to 17.4 RU5.
Customers are strongly advised to validate that all integrations have been migrated from Axis to CXF before implementing RU5.

17.4 RU5 to be shipped with EEM 12.7
Upgrading the EEM version to 12.7 with 17.4 RU5 is mandatory.
17.4 RU5 is not backward compatible with older EEM versions.
