Community Migration Updates: Addressing Your Concerns

By Julia Klaus posted May 08, 2024 12:33 AM

Hi All,

We've been listening closely to your concerns and wanted to provide you with some updates on the issues you've raised, ensuring you can easily find this information when needed.

Accessing Downloads for Entitled Licenses and Tools:

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you locate your downloads:

  1. Head over to Broadcom Support Downloads.
  2. Sign in with your credentials.
  3. In the “Downloads” section, utilize the drop-down menu or the search bar to find your product or use your license key.
  4. Your entitled downloads should be available for you to access.

If you come across a “Not Entitled” message, please be aware that we are actively uploading all entitlements. Keep an eye on the banner at the top of the page for the latest updates. We’re committed to ensuring all your data is accessible as promptly as possible.

Community Platform Speed The community platform’s speed post-migration has been slower than usual. This is due to the vast amount of data being managed. We anticipate a full return to normal speed by May 8th, as our vendor expands server capacity to better accommodate the community’s needs.

Missing Communities: Desktop Hypervisor, Fusion, and Workstation Forums are still undergoing the loading process due to their significant size and they will be available under VCF by Thursday, May 9th.

Missing {code} from Threads The absence of {code} from threads is being addressed. Our vendor is updating the template features, and we will keep you informed on the progress.

We're currently in the initial stages of a significant migration process. While we aim for a smooth transition, it's important to acknowledge that we're all human, and with that comes the task of adjusting, organizing, and integrating substantial data sources into the Broadcom Community.

Our target is to achieve post-stabilization in approximately two weeks, please anticipate encountering some bugs – this is to be expected. When you come across any issues, please don't hesitate to let us know. Your feedback is invaluable as we work to resolve these bugs and enhance the community experience for all.

Looking Ahead: When the stabilization period ends, we'll be dedicated to incorporating as many features as possible from the legacy community into our new platform, but until there, your understanding and support throughout this process is crucial,

See you on the other side,
